My Story
Tas Hawk is founded and led by Tim Hawthorne, CPA, bringing together 19 years of accounting experience and 15 years of IT and technology experience.
Why Tas Hawk?
Tim believes business owners deserve an adviser who looks beyond compliance and understands the business as a whole.
An accountant shouldn’t simply tell you what happened last year.
They should help you understand what your numbers are telling you, what it means for your business and what you can do next.
And technology shouldn’t be implemented simply because it’s new. It should have a purpose — helping your business become more efficient, reduce administration, improve customer experience or make better use of its information.
That’s why Tas Hawk brings Accounting, Business Advisory and Technology together.

With integrity and empathy at our core, we aim to make tax and accounting a positive, supportive experience built on trust and long-term relationships.
Who are we?
Tim holds a Bachelor of Accounting and a Bachelor of Computing, and became a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) in 2023. He is a current member of CPA Australia.
His professional experience spans taxation, business accounting, and management accounting, along with extensive hands-on experience in information technology.
Tim has worked as both an accountant and an IT professional, including experience as an IT Administrator and Website Administrator. His technology experience includes platforms and systems such as Xero, Class, BGL, Microsoft 365, OneLogin, WordPress and Linux, as well as technology and cybersecurity solutions.
This combination of accounting and technology experience is what led to the creation of Tas Hawk.
